H&M Harley VD Bisschop Continues Top Form in Hamburg
The 11-year-old BWP gelding H&M Harley VD Bisschop (Dulf Van Den Bisschop) rewarded his rider handsomely on Thursday, May 10, 2018 at the Longines Global Champions Tour of Hamburg, Germany.
With Nicola Philippaerts of Belgium, Harley VD Bisschop has now jumped clear rounds to a top finish in four of the five 2018 LGCT legs thus far. A double clear for 5th place at the first leg in Mexico; four clear rounds in Miami; and three clear rounds for a big 2nd place result in last weekend’s Grand Prix of Madrid, add up to an impressive show of top form.
That form continued on the first day of CSI5* competition at Hamburg, with Philippaerts and H&M Harley VD Bisschop jumping the winning clear in the €122,000 Mercedes Benz Championat of Hamburg. In addition to €59,000 in prize money, Philippaerts was given the keys to a new Mercedes Benz C-Class. Time will tell if the streak continues into the big classes of the weekend, including Saturday’ LGCT Grand Prix of Hamburg.
It’s no wonder that Harley VD Bisschop’s sire Dulf VD Bisschop, who was recently awarded BWP Ambassador status, has become an in-demand stallion for breeders in Europe and the United States. . .
